Dennis’s Publishing Journey
The road to publication was by no means easy. After mounting frustration with publishers, Dennis decided to publish the book under his own imprint, allowing him to have complete control over the process and enabling him to offer the book at a more reasonable price. Self-publishing wound up being the answer. Though self-publishing couldn’t provide him the platform of a commercial publisher, it was more important to him to maintain control over the publication process. “And these days,” he says, “it is up to the author to market their own books, anyway, so I don’t gain much from commercial publication in that regard.” Once he found 1106 Design, the way became even easier.
